Understanding Vibration Analysis from a Practical Viewpoint for Maximum Business Impact

Speaker –Commtest, Inc. more >
(Wednesday, 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.)

The field of Vibration Analysis has been around for more than 6 decades.  From a practical standpoint it has been in the industrial sector for about 4 decades.  Yet, to a large extent it is still viewed with everything from suspicion to disbelief.  Many users instill too much complexity into the process I like to call this “the witch doctor syndrome”).  Worst of all, an overwhelming majority of operations (plants and/or facilities) do not yet incorporate vibration analysis in their asset management strategy.  Does every plant have to have a vibration analyst on staff? NO!  Should every plant benefit from vibration analysis? YES!

This workshop will present the basics of vibration analysis, with the objective of empowering you to apply principles of vibration analysis to:

  1. Reduce risks
  2. Minimize unplanned downtime
  3. Increase profits

Regardless of the size of your plant, or the type of operation, if you are responsible for rotating machinery, you probably can benefit from vibration analysis.  This workshop will demonstrate how to identify the opportunities and how to capitalize on them.
